Freedom 09'

Freedom 09’

Day 1

Got to Melacca after a freaking 1 hour 40 minute drive due to congested slow moving traffic at 90kmph. Got to Melacca at half past 10 and then straight to the bungalow, got ourselves changed and drink drank drunk before hitting the rave as it was rather stupid for not having alcohol sold in it.

It was 15 to 1am by the time we got to the rave thinking that it would end by 3am AT LEAST but sadly, it ended at 2am. All was querulous of the time it ended, also a bottle of mineral water was RM7. Pretty much a throat slitter. Then again the light and sound effects were godly, last year’s Freedom set up was awesome itself but this year seriously it’s just not vindicatory but the crowd was rather rowdy, filled 75% of the rave with what we label them “Ma Chans”.

A noticeable crowd of hot chics and hunks were only of our group and yes, I proudly proclaim that! I am proud of my group as they work hard, party harder and live lives to the utmost excitement. Hehe.

Though the rave ended early but then again it was not an indication that OUR party ended. We headed back home with the free shuttle service provided by the organizers of the rave and continued raving in our bungalow, blasting the awesome stereo system provided by Joh and music by Yu Meng. Drank and partied mad like homeless people going berserk on free food provided. Lasted till 7am!! Maybe some may say they can last longer, some may say we’re mad but all in all we drank till minds were lost, sanity gone astray.

Day 2

Woke up around 12ish to Joh cleaning the house and Marc’s endless phone calls, not knowing Joh is such a clean freak he literally cleaned the whole house which was a disastrous sight to even look at. Bah.

So there we were, waking up to it and the 1st drink I had was… a can of beer with Yums. Headed then down to Melacca for lunch and did a wee bit of grocery shopping which in the end was not consumed.

Went back to the bungalow and started our party this time by the pool, many were reluctant to enter the pool at 1st because of the leaves which made them think it was dirty. It was however overloaded with chlorine that makes the skin wrinkly even after only 2 minutes being in it. Allan portrayed a water world sea lion and so did Joh, amusing indeed! Music was pumped and again thanks to a comfortable crowd of sea lions and attempting swimmers, everyone had a good laugh.

Yums water squirting lesson

Great smiles

Headed then off to the rave earlier this time around half 10 after our very own pool party, the moment we stepped foot in we ran over to the SkyRider for a twist.

Above & Beyond was the paramount of the night, unsurpassed by any other DJs in the rave. Even Ferry Corsten whom I adored was not anywhere close to the divine sounds of Above & Beyond. Music thumping, bass pumping and people screaming like headless chickens. Again, the lighting was spectacular. Being there closing your eyes, lifting your hands up high letting the music sip in and take control of the soul and the cheers from the crowd to give a heightened state of trance. Again the rave ended at 2am, this time we headed back to the bungalow and sat down by the pool for only a short bit then everyone was too tired to do anything anymore. I on the other hand shot back to KL at 5.30am due to certain discomfort. Heh. Thanks to my trustable good friend Marc, I was able to retrieve my car. Thanks bro.

Then again all in all, the rave was an alright one but the fun back in our bungalow was memorable. I guess after all, it is the crowd that you mix with that makes even the worst events the best. I thank Marc for all help given throughout in many ways. You’re a brother.

Cheers all
