18th December 2009 Is A Happy Day

Dear cousin,

You have always been a brother, constantly being there to bail my ass through thick and thin.

I will always recall you telling me this; "be on the double!". I grew up with you, I was taught by you, brought up by your family. You, Weng, Tiao and Kor are whom I call family when I address.

This 18^th you’re taking up the responsibility finally! After so many years being bugged by Ah Mah and you’re finally stepping up to it, you’re the eldest of us 8 and good ‘lah’ at least you’re the 1^st and not us. In advance, thanks for next year’s angpow!

Thank you for everything throughout our lives as kids and now as adults. Continue bailing my arse and I would be even more grateful..HOHOHO!!!

December 2009 - Nostalgic Zoukout and the whole of 2009

Well December is closing in and suddenly my thoughts are moving backwards to last year when everything started fitting into places for me here in KL, met several people who made a difference to my life to my statement that I have now that life here isn’t as rough as I thought it would be. These few people made my life fun, made my life meaningful.

Pua Kin Joh: What can I say? Gotten close to him from June onwards in my grandmother’s birthday dinner where he introduced himself “Auntie! Wa eh ming kia si kio Pua Kin Joh”. A direct translation of that would be, “Auntie! My THING is called Pua Kin Joh”. Haha!

Marciano: A super bro, met in Zoukout (though he partied with the Ms.ToiletBowl the whole time) and instantly bonded after he performed a ball shrinking fast and furious stint from Singapore back to KL with Wendy’s car. A great organizer and I am glad he is now doing something he has passion in. He has been there for me, through hardship and till today he is still. Truly a friend whom to be called a brother.

Wendy: An extremely emotional lady, constantly either bitching or crying but to never disappointing me, she has always been there for me when needed. I’ll always remember this coming from her, “who touch you? I’ll kill him!”. Kekeke from a girl wor! Ganaz!!

Hon Kit (ex-boss): Who’s patience is so great it inspired me to deal with my own the same way he did, though will never come close to his at least I am taking baby steps towards it.

Edmund (ex-colleague): Bugger who gave me his tons of work back in G2 but because of him, I learned so much in such short time.

Allan (brother): Starkness triumphs! That’s all I can say to thank him.

Last but most impactful

MiMi : Who was my goal, and is now…my meaning, 1^st conversation in Zoukout 2009, same time as Marciano. Started off as strangers, facebook friends then msn buddies forward moving to lunch partners and now after everything, together; so all I can say is that is has been a long winding road. A road so long that now when I look back at it, I tell myself that it has been incredible and wonderful. Remembering how I cheated her off her number and how she fell for it through chilly pan mee is and will always be an amusement to myself. Thank you baby, for every single thought and presence in my life.

There are lots of people whom I newly met last year and also the whole of this year, I can’t be jotting everyone and their story down so to Cien Tien, Yumz, Khai, JP Ang, Debbie, JinWy, Cheong, Darren, May, Sam, Alison, Delia, Billie, Yvonne, Trixie, Cherjeen, Sonia, Hui Jean, Ju nn, Natalia, Julie, Tracy Chew, Chee etc. etc.. Thank you all for making it exciting. We have all been to tons of parties, got drunken billions of times and surfed endless waves. Ho Seh Boh??!!

*Still have problem believing Marc and MiMi did a surprise for me on my birthday this year, nice and thoughtful plot but got busted the moment Cien Tien called and J-P wanting to eat Japanese food* hoho.

We will all be going down to Singapore again this 12^th for a simple reason, Zoukout 2009! Although I don’t really fancy the event, I need to commemorate this event for my own personal reasons this year and hopefully every year from now. This time, Armin Van Buuren will be spinning and I am looking forward to a good time!

I am praying that I do not sprain my leg this time around and be having foot massage in a rave party. That’s just so wrong! I also want to have my own room, own bed! Havoc! Last year I slept in the same room as Darren, woke up with an additional MayMoo in between me and him. Conclusion, I screamed like a bitch!

Danny boy will be tagging along this year, last year every one of my Penang friends gave me huge huge last minute aeroplane. How disappointing! Ho!

Anyways this year I pray with genuine goodness, please don’t make me swipe my card or use up too much cash. Last year’s expenditure of SGD2000 still hurt balls up till today even by the thought of it.

I am just going to bring SGD500 this time. Kakakakaka!!! Over spend that on my 1^st day and I can kiss fun goodbye.

Well that’s it for now, back to work.

My reason; ‘Wtf?! Can’t I enjoy mamak now more than anything? Leave me alone! To me, mamak is duper canggih k? I grew up with that and mamak made me big and strong!’

Their feedback, ‘You’re f**king lame but okay, whatever you say la. You’re paying for yourself then since it’s so cheap and there’s no point us chipping in.

It amazes me as to know that there are so many people who knows it is my last day at work today. Already I have been very discreet (except for my own team), and intended to leave quietly. Mana tau all these creative, studio and production people started coming up and I am receiving best wishes mails every half an hour. I am overwhelmed though, knowing I have made quite an impression on them although my time was short here. Anyways, farewell farewell!

It’s long break for me now, 10 days to be exact. I will be heading back to Penang on Wednesday after everyone resumes work; this is so to avoid traffic congestion. I’ll always remember last year’s Raya that I was stuck in the traffic from Penang back to KL for 8 hours and this is after me using the emergency lane the whole journey where else my colleague then from Patimas was stuck in it for 14 hours. CRAZY!

So since I have experienced such exciting experience, I shall not repeat history as much as I am just dreading to go back home and see my woman! My grandmother!

Anyways, off to self adornment; gym and hair cut! It’s a holiday; somehow I’ve to look better than this for it. Roar!

Chill out & Ambient

I am pretty much into chill out, new age & ambient today at work, don’t know why the sudden awareness flux.

I have not been listening to them for like eons. I guess I am just…at Zen. Heheheee.

So here are few that I have been listening to this whole morning till now and to discover them having such classical feeling, so uplifting, so deep and enriching. I feel so refreshed, as though my feelings for everyone and myself have been refreshed and strengthened. Hoho.

It’s amusing and amazingly unexplainable how certain kind of music genres can influence an individual on their daily sensation.

Chill out

Chill out (sometimes also chillout, chill-out, or simply chill), a term derived from a slang injunction to relax, emerged in the early and mid-1990s as a catch-all term for various styles of relatively mellow, slow-tempo music made by contemporary producers in the electronic music scene.

Ambient

Ambient music is a musical genre closely related to or also seen as a sub-genre of New Age music, that focuses largely on the timbre characteristics of sounds, often organized or performed to evoke an atmospheric, visual or unobtrusive" quality.

Well, for my knowledge on Chill out/ ambient music would usually be inclined to a room designated for patrons of a club to chill and take 5 from the hectic dance/main room. Either that or the bar is built on the themes themselves. These two genres are well accepted by the European culture especially in United Kingdom (London) and Hungary (Budapest), about Malaysia…hmm.. Need I say more?

From observation, that place will slowly switch and blend with our inept to adapt minds and in the end become another R&B club

A New Turn

In 3 weeks, I will be leaving this mundane uninteresting but long ass working hour job.

Here comes in two main facts about advertising that everyone should know before they join;

1. You think passion is more important than money, then go ahead

2. You can stand long working hours e.g. if there’s a pitch that the company is participating in, you will then need to stay back maybe till 3am or so, DAILY! even on weekends.

Goodbye Grey!

I on one hand am in dire need to up spin my bank account than to live moderately especially now that Maverick is not around. Cousin has bid KL farewell, I can finally have some ease there on the pocket. It has been painful for quite some bit.

And now the surfacing of an opportunity, with Mah Sing Properties.

I have always wanted to be in properties for as long as my memory serves me, I started the habit of reading up on properties to see just how the market price fluctuates but never really had the initiative to pursue it till recently. Still there was a dispute going within myself, whether to go for Developers or Agents. It was quite a long thought on that, in the end Developers triumph, at least for the time being seeing myself new on the field with properties.

Mah Sing Group will do me well I am sure, with the opportunity to travel between Pg and KL; I think it serves me oh so good. What else can be better than to go back my own hometown and claim every penny spent. Then besides that particular point, I get to see my family whom I miss dearly. Nostalgia baby! Hehe.

There are so many projects going on with Mah Sing that I can never finish reading up on them even though I read every day. Property field, I wonder how these people keep up with it. Projects are ever emerging, ever changing with so many political issues, local community disputes and ever improving infrastructures. How can one person keep up with everything about it and be so knowledgeably A to Z about it. Darn it! Guess I won’t know how it really is till I have my hands on them, soon. 28^th of September 2009 here I come!

Positive thinking, I SHALL BE THE NEXT PROPERTY TYCOON! Haha! A bit too far of a thought there but I found my flame to perform again and I will. Bismillah! Kekekee.
